Google’s Front Page | What Does The Local Ranking Syndrome Say About Google

Google’s Front Page, Local Rankings & Beyond

Below are your rankings so far after just a few hours work.  You can see your rankings for the few keywords worked on have improved vastly in rank.  You rank for other keywords, but these seem to be the most important.

Think about the best 5 keywords in the world for you…more than two keywords and I will research how difficult it will be to get rank for them nationally and locally.

I can get you to rank high on local keywords, even on page one for most of the keywords you envision if combined with local search.

Eventually Google’s page one for consumers will have just ads, local results, a couple vendors (Amazon & Home Depot), maybe a video and without a doubt rating and directory sites — that’s why its important to get into the review and directory sites now because that’s the future source of your main revenue stream and perhaps the future source of Google’ revenue stream.

Google may even begin charging (if it has not begun doing so already) for companys with a certain customer reviewer rating percentage to appear in the local “snack-pack.”

The local  “snack-pack” used to show 7 entries, Google recently lowered the number of local entries shown to 3 entries. I don’t know why, only Google know for sure and since they have all the data, they know exactly why.

I believe it was due to Google users clicking so much on the snack-pack, it was taking away clicks and possibly revenue from everything else on the front page like locally focused Google AdWords. Will be interesting to see if Google experiments with snack-packs on every page.

The keywords you envision at the very minimum need to be on your home page, even just the menu system. Very minimally switch up some verbiage on synonyms. I can put them in the off-site seo, but they need to be on-site as well to get the full effect. Hopefully, over time, you would also have additional pages where we can insert the keyword into the nitty gritty html tags that Google likes.

Does not have to be complex, can be something never posted online that can be reworked or even something written with a co-writer. It must be something of value to attract readers, linkers, sharers and Google.

Here are the good keyword results so far, eventually, with Google’s rating’s system, the more good ratings you get, the higher you will show there as well. It is a slow process but done right over time you will see higher rankings and a higher return on investment.

You Charge How Much For SEO??

What’s A Fair Price For SEO Work?

I am constantly dumbfounded by the amount of money SEO firms will charge customers for a minimal amount of SEO work.  It makes me wonder if there is something wrong with me.

I have seen companies quote between $700-$1200+ a month for 5-6 hours of White Hat SEO work which includes typically includes modest keyword research, analytics analysis, Google ranking analysis, content analysis and optimization, META tag work, link building and monthly reports. Sounds like a fair price, right?  No it is not.  It is simply outrageous.

I charge $30 per hour for the same work and I’m think I’m even better at it that the competition with years more experience and much more dedication and loyalty to my customers.

Don’t buy into these outrageous plans. $700 divided by 6 hours work is over $100 per hour.

SEO is not easy, but it is not rocket science either. There is a process and the process might be worth over $100 per hour to some big corporations who have big pockets of money to throw around, but if you are a mid-sized or small business I suggest you contact me where I will set reasonable expectations for SEO work and not charge you an arm and a leg.

I have all the tools the big firms have and can deliver the same reports, analysis and results, but I also limit the amount of clients I take on so I can dedicate myself to helping you achieve and exceed your SEO goals.

I take much pride in my skills.  I do not like to be ripped-off and I don’t like ripping people off.  My philosophy has always been to under promise and over-deliver.  I am completely White Hat SEO so the results I deliver will stand the test of time.

What I will do for you is analyze your website, find out where it may be lacking or any flaws that can be corrected.  I will do deep keyword and competitive research.  I will run reports to show you where you currently rank.  I will submit your site to local directories, industry directories and sites that your competitors have links on.  I will keep you informed every step of the process, educate you as to the best SEO practices and listen to your needs and concerns.

I promise to do my best for you.  If you are unhappy paying $100 an hour please email me or give me a call.
